Taiwan - Product Safety Testing
For the Information Technology Equipments to be exported and sold in Taiwan, product safety tests have been required since July 1, 2005, therefore we should comply with both of the applicable standards for safety and EMC, and should have BSMI certification ("Official Journal No.09304608410" issued on R.O.C. 93-10-29)
JEL tie up with BSMI accredited product safety test laboratories in Taiwan and other local agents. Therefore we can offer consistent services such as EMC testing in Japan, product safety tests, and certificate acquisition services.
For customers who have CB report Report Exchanging Service from CB Report to CNS Report (There are cases that application service for some edition of product safety standards are not available at JEL) |

| Reservation fixed |
We will send back a copy to customers with receipt mark stamped. Then the reservation is fixed. In case you do not receive any confirmation of reservation, please contact to the following address. JEL Asia Approval Group |
| Shipment of sample unit |
Please arrange shipment of sample unit to the test laboratory or JEL agent prior to the reserved day. We will advise the shipping address when sending back the application form to you as a confirmation of reservation. Please be sure to attach the operation guide to the sample unit. |
| Submission of necessary documents |
Please provide us with necessary documents for issuing test report when you ship the sample. Specifically, please refer to the Necessary Documents List. |

The test for other categories than above will be available at tied-up laboratory. Please feel free to contact us for details. If you are not sure which BSMI category the product belongs to, we recommend that you utilize, "BSMI Confirmation Service", which enables you to check directly with BSMI if the product should be certified or not, by receiving the product specifications prior to the test.

For product safety tests, the cost and lead time differ by product to be tested. Please refer to the following table and contact us if you need further information.
